Mt Evans

Mt Evans is one of the tallest mountains in Colorado 14,240ft!

Home of the Bristlcone Pines!
They live around 2000 years! Amazing that they can survive with all Mother Nature throws at them.

Echo Lake

The road to the top is the highest paved road in the US.

The TOP!
It was freezing! Brrrr!

Just think what the view would have been if it hadn't been foggy from the rain!
Magnificent!

Red Rocks!

Red Rocks Park

It is a park that also has an auditorium.  We went on a day when a concert was going on.  So there were a ton of scantily clad people getting drunk and getting high. The people parked next to us were trying to hide there Rx bottle and ... well lets just say...
I was glad my kids didn't ask to get any "Medical Edibles" :-)

Mountains!! We love them!

Rocky Mountain National Park!

God loves me to give me such a beautiful world!

Summer Vacation - 4th of July

Marty and I took J & J to

"STADIUM OF FIRE"

where we got to see David Archuleta and Brad Paisley sing.
It was a great concert and a lot of fun.
The highlight was definitely Brad Paisley.  He was a wonderful performer and is one of our favorites.  I didn't realize he is such a great guitarist.  Wow he can really play.  He had a different guitar for each song.
Crazy!
This was actually on July 2nd but it was definitely part of our 4th of July celebration so it is included in this post.

We got up early so we could see the balloon's take off.  We always enjoy seeinghot air balloons but we heard that there would be a Darth Vader balloon so of course we were going to be there.  It ended up that they couldn't fly because of weather but many of them were inflated and we got to see them for about 20 minutes till a big gust of wind came and they all had to come down.

Parade Time!!
It was great to hang with family at the parade!

Fireworks!

Where we were at for fireworks we could see 3 different temples.
 It was awsome!
You can see two of the three here:

.
I love my country!!!!
May God continually watch over my homeland and those who serve her!

Summer Vacation - St. George

We had a BLAST at the "Gierisch Hotel"!
Just not enough time.
We always have a great time with the Gierisch cousins and of course I love having sister time!  I don't get to see her nearly as much as I would like.
While there we got to see Becky and her kids.  It has been ... 10+ years and was so nice to see her.  She looked so happy and I was so very glad to see her again.

Alas no pics :-(

Summer Vacation - No. Utah

This was like a whirlwind!
Thanks for letting us crash at your lovely home E & M.
We literally had something planed with someone for breakfast lunch and dinner every day.  It was WONDERFUL seeing everybody I just wanted more time with everyone.  I didn't get a pic of everyone
 (but I love you all!)

Friends!

Family!

Fun Times!

Summer Vacation - AZ

We had 4 days to see spend in AZ.  Most of the time we spent in the pool and forgot to take pictures.  But this is the best of what we got.

The first two days were with Family!
It was so good so have AZ family time again!

The last 2 days were to spend with friends.
Unfortunately W. got sick so Marty spent the last 2 days hanging out at the resort with W. so the kids and I could see our friends.
Thanks Honey!
