Pleased as Punch!

Yesterday I had one of those moments as a mother when you couldn't be more proud and please of who your children are.
That morning we all went to celebrate "Principles Breakfast" at school with J.  He was given this honor because of his great behavior.  Donuts and juice are always a treat so everyone was happy.  While there his teacher came up to me and basically said:
"J. is consistent.  All year long he is consistedly good.  He comes to school and is like a professsional.  He gets his groove on and is great. He always raises his hand, is kind to others, focuses on the task.  I never had to say 'What are you doing?  Come on!'.  Every once in a while you get a kid that you never have to get on their case.  That is J!"
I was not surprised (which makes it even better) to hear this because I knowhe is just that great.  However it sure was great to hear it!  My heart was just so pleased with who he chooses to be!

We all love you J!

BTW arms are meant to be straight!

I was just finishing up J.'s party when I get a call from Marty saying that he and the boys were on their way home from Fathers & Sons.  Then he casually asks "I need you to look up the best urgent care for us to go to.  J. (the other J.) broke his arm"!
How bad you wonder?  Well his arm was a big twisted S!
Needless to say we skipped urgent care and went straight to the ER.
He is doing great and the ER Doc thinks that he will heal up just fine without any problems.  Phew!
He was hiking down into a gully.  It was slippery and steep. He was going so fast that he was having to dodge his Dad and Brother-strike one, a bunch of thorn covered plants-strike two, a log-strike three.  When he hit the next log he fell and ....

I took several pictures to share but I have having issues with getting them off my phone so I took this one after he was home and clean!

J.'s Party

The girls were so much fun at J's Pizza Party!  We made our own pizzas,

Played games

ate Fruit Pizza and Strawberry Fzn Yogurt!

She loved having the chance to celebrate with her friends!

My girl is Eight years old!

I remember how weird it was when my first child was old enough to get baptized.  Weird!  Now my daughter is 8 and will be baptized in a few weeks.  Part of me is like "been there done that" yet she is my sweet girl and it is new all over again.  It was fun to take her and get her ears peirced!  She has been so responsible in cleaning them the 3 times a day.  Every time I ask if she has cleaned her ears she says patiently "yes" and I think "wow I think I would have forgotten at least one time by now".  She is so responsible and has always been an example to me and our family!

I have loved all the years J.!  I look forward to many more!

My Cookie Runneth Or'

As I was baking the "crust" for fruit pizza it got a bit larger than expected!  Hee hee!  The smoke was pouring out of the vent like a chimney!
It sure tasted good!

Note to self!

When using many coupons to get a good deal on meat.  Don't forget to put it in the freezer!  After 11 hours  at room temperature you have to just throw it away.

Go fish!

J. your school musical was great!  You were a great clown fish!

Gila Valley Temple

I made the 3 hour dirve (each way) to the Gila Valley Temple open house so my children could see the inside of a temple.  It was worth the drive.  When we walked in to the baptistry W. said "this is where I get married" I had to supress a laugh.  In the Celestial room J. said "it feels like I want to stay here forever".  J. loved the sealing room and how the mirrrors showed eternity.  B. loved the Baptistry.

I Love the Temple!

Hangin with my oldest!

I have always loved hangin out with my oldest child.  I don't know if it is because of all the one on one time we had when he was a baby or if it is because we are so similar (of course that means we fight like ...), but I really enjoy his company.

J. you are fun to be around!
I am glad I am your mom!
